Within the facility there is Restaurant Stanicija Kovačići, culinary philosophy is based on the influence of this region, in contemporary meat and seafood dishes flavored by the smells and tastes of the coastal region. The menu consists of local produce, such as meat, fish, vegetables, cheeses made on the Grobnik plain, Istrian prosciutto, the flavor and scent of truffles, with the addition of olive oil and herbs grown in our restaurant garden, and which our chef carefully selects when creating his dishes. The restaurant at Stancija Kovačići always offers freshly made pasta and freshly baked bread.
The menu is always a reflection of the season, which we include in all its glory. Since every season brings its own specificities, restaurant owner and Chef Vinko Frlan always brings the very best of the season onto the menu.

From the sea, Matulji are 2 km away and 6 km from the tourist center Opatija, which can be reached by car or for some 30 minutes stroll through the historic "škaline" (stairs)
The stairs are an ancient path which leads to town Opatija and are ideal for hiking. The stairs were used by the Austrian emperors to enjoy hiking in surroundings of Mediterranean plants and fresh air of the pristine nature.
